Starship Invasions -- Helen Shaver's Monologue

One of the bright spots in this rather dreadful film is Helen Shaver, who plays the UFO investigator (Robert Vaughn)'s wife. A talented performer who's gone on to do stagework and win two awards for her acting skills, shaver gets a glorious brief monologue off here in a t.v. interview when she laments her lost husband. the lines suck but she delivers them nicely, taking control of the whole tone and pace of the movie for a brief, exquisite moment. then it goes right back to being stupid.
