    Maiya Singh, my teacher, testing out a friend's new Saaj. The song: Bhuli Hui Yaadein - I think it's pretty old - 1960s or something. It's in Raag Yaman (Kalyaan/Kaliyaan) I'm on tabla. A TarShehnai is an Esraj with a horn attachment that produces the high Shehnai type sound. An Esraj is basically a variation of the Dilruba. It's like a hybrid Sitar + Sarangi.
