The Alfred Hitchcock Hour-An Unlocked Window

After the third brutal slaying of a private nurse in the same neighborhood, local police announce that the killer is believed to be an insane medical student, Sylvester Leek, who escaped from a mental ward where he was hospitalized after a violent breakdown. Listening to a TV news broadcast about the killer, beautiful young Nurse Stella (Dana Wynter) becomes concerned and tells the housekeeper they must see that all the windows in the house are locked. Stella is tending a young man with the help of Nurse Betty, and both nurses are afraid to go downstairs to check the basement windows. During the night, the three women are alone in the house except for the patient, who is helpless. The housekeeper is convinced the murderer will come after the two nurses and becomes hysterical over every strange sound. Director: Joseph Newman.
