The Savings Experiment - Soda

I wish that they did the comparison to yeast based sodas. My neighbour came back from South Africa with a pineapplebier recipe that is simply the skin of a pineapple with ************, and sugar and it naturally carbonates after three days. I don't see how that could be more expensive than the Soda Club package and you could simply reuse store bought pop bottles.

I agree with zip 48324, (I'm formaly 48328) In Michigan we return the bottles for our dime deposit. Here in florida they pick up our recycled items at the curb.......& nforget splenda!

i usually drink soda for the caffiene abuse, just try buying that without funny looks

Recycling at 10 cents a can or bottle in Michigan makes buying pop (especially on sale) a much more attractive option!

its really cool, but you have to think if your going to wait for soda, or just buy the bottles fulled allready

one of the points she made in this video is that you use less plastic and cans by using this product to make soda at home. IN the long run, this is the greener option. And by the way, Soda is awful for you.

I think going to a local store and buying one of their brands is the cheapest way to go if you need soda. Recycling is always an option.

How about just drinking tap water?? NYC has the best tasteing water!! And it's free! And so does Charleston, SC. If you want to save, drink H20 - even when you eat out.

You need a CO2 tank?!?! Ewww Splenda. 70 cents a liter = $1.40 per 2 liter... plus she's using tap water... another ewwww. Yeah, I can recycle my plastic. Not worth it.

At these economic times, we can use any money saving tips specially electricity. My monthly bill went up $50 this month, from $158 to $200! My a/c t-stat already set at 87deg.F all day/night and I even have gas stoves, unbelievable! Of course, we've had 100+deg.F outside temperatures.
