Unlikely activist protests housing shortage

Caprice Brown, 35, was displaced from public housing when the James E. Scott Homes project was torn down. She joined a 2006 protest to plead with the Miami-Dade County Commission for increased funding for housing. Unable to afford a place of her own since being forced out of Scott, where she lived for nine years, she has joined a coalition of activist groups who are pleading for more government spending for the poor.
