When Cartoons Attack (Muslim Sensibilities)

Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten ignited a cultural firestorm when it published cartoons of the muslim prophet, Mohammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban. However, undeterred by Muslim anger --- which now includes bomb threats against the publication and Danish flag-burning around the Muslim world --- the paper has continued to publish caracatures of the prophet. In a message of solidarity and shared respect for free speech, other European papers have reprinted the cartoons. Meanwhile, the vitriole grows; An Iranian newscaster in this dubbed report from www.linktv.com says the heretical cartoons are a "blot on humanity."
